8.Yokam. There are 3 important yokams. Sidda Yokam and Amirtha Yokam are auspicious and Marana Yokam is inauspicious.

11. There are 60 Naazhis per day, each of 24 minutes. The 24 hours from 6 AM to 6AM on the next day is divided into 12 equal parts of 2 hours each. Each part represents the Raasi/ Lagna for the day. There are 12 raasis / lagnas per day. Starting from the 1st day of the month, the time limit of rasi / lagna will go on be reducing everyday till the end of the month. In Chithirai it is Mesha Raasi / mesha lagna. In Vaikasi it is Rishaba Raasi / rishaba lagna. The astrologer will guide you the exact time of the raasi / lagnam.
12. It is not easy to fix up an auspicious day and time for conducting auspicious functions. We have to take into account, the Ayanam, Rudhu, Month, Patcham, Day, Thithi, Star, Yokam Lagnam, Kaalam, Daara balan, Chandra balan, and Kala horai. These are important.
