மனதில் தோன்றிய எண்ணங்கள் 1966 to 1980.

1966. உலகத்தையே எதிர்த்து நின்று  ஜெயிக்கலாம் என்று தோன்றும், ஒரு சாதாரண ஜலதோஷம் பிடிக்கும் வரை.

1967. நோய்வாய்ப் படும்போதுதான் அந்த அவயவம் எவ்வளவு முக்கியமானது என்பது நமக்குத் தெரிகிறது.

1968. மருத்துவ மனையும், மாயான பூமியும் தான் நமக்கு ஞானத்தைக் கொடுக்கும் இடங்கள்.

1969. தீமையும் நன்மையும் சமுதாயத்தின் இரு பக்கங்கள். ஒன்றில்லாமல் ஒன்றில்லை. இரண்டும் அழியாதது. அழிக்க முடியாதது.

1970. தனது மகிழ்ச்சியை விரும்பினால் சுயநலவாதி. பிறர் மகிழ்ச்சியை விரும்பினால் பொதுநலவாதி. பிறர் கஷ்டத்தை விரும்பினால் தீவிரவாதி.

1971. எப்பொழுது 'நான்' என்பது இல்லாமல் போகிறதோ, அங்கு மோட்சம் இருக்கிறது. 'நான்' இருக்கும்போது, அங்கு மோட்சம் இருக்க முடியாது. 

1972. கடவுள் பக்தி வேறு. வாழ்க்கைப் போராட்டம் வேறு. வாழ்க்கைப் போராட்டம் சென்ற பிறவியின் பலன். கடவுள் பக்தி அடுத்த பிறவியின் பாதுகாப்பு.

1973. மீனுக்கு சிக்கியது புழு. மனிதனுக்கு சிக்கியது மீன். அப்போ புழுவுக்கு?  மனிதன் மண்ணுக்குள் வரும் வரை காத்திருந்தது புழு.

1974. முடியும் வரை முயற்சி செய்ய வேண்டும். அப்படி முடியவில்லை என்றால் பயிற்சி செய்ய வேண்டும். அயற்சியோ தளர்ச்சியோ கூடாது.

1975. இந்த தலைமுறை விளையாட்டு வீரர்கள் எதற்கும் கவலைப்படுவது கிடையாது. கடந்த காலத்தைப் பற்றி கவலைப்படுவதே இல்லை.

1976. சேத்த பணத்த சிக்கனமா, செலவு பண்ண பக்குவமா, அம்மா கையிலே கொடுத்துப் போடு செல்லக்கண்ணு. அவங்க ஆற நூறு ஆக்குவாங்க செல்லக் கண்ணு.

1977. மச்சான் என்பவர் மனைவியின் சகோதரர் அல்லது சகோதரியின் கணவர். இந்த வார்த்தையை ப்ராமணர்கள் உபயோகிப்பது இல்லை ஏன்?

1978. தாயின் சகோதரர் மாமா. பிறகு கணவனை எப்படி மாமா என்று அழைக்கலாம்?

1979. திருடன், கொள்ளைக்காரன், லஞ்சம் வாங்குபனைக் குறித்த வடமொழிச் சொல். இல்லாததை உள்ளதாகவும், உள்ளதை இல்லாததாகவும் சொல்பவன் தான் டுபாக்கூர்.

1. ஒன்றாம் விதி !

இந்த பிரபஞ்சத்தில் நாம் எதை செய்தாலும் அது நமக்கே திரும்பி வரும்.

2. இரண்டாம் விதி !!

வாழ்க்கையில் எதுவும் தானாக நடப்பதில்லை. நமக்கு தேவையானவற்றை நாம் தான் நகர்த்தி செல்ல வேண்டும்.

 3. மூன்றாம் விதி !!!

சிலவற்றை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டால் மட்டுமே மாற்றம் நிகழும்.

 4. நான்காம் விதி !!!!

நம்மை நாம் மாற்றி கொள்ளுமோது

வாழ்க்கையும் நம்மை பின்பற்றி மாறும்.

 5. ஐந்தாம் விதி !!!!!

நம் வாழ்வில் நிகழும் அனைத்திற்கும் நாமே பொறுப்பு என்பதை உணர வேண்டும்.

 6. ஆறாம் விதி !!!!!!

நேற்று, இன்று, நாளை இது மூன்றும் ஒன்றிற்கு ஒன்று தொடர்புடையதே.

 7. ஏழாம் விதி vii.

ஒரே நேரத்தில் இரு வேறு விஷயங்களை சிந்திக்க முடியாது.

 8. எட்டாம் விதி viii.

நமது நடத்தை, நம் சிந்தனையும் செயலையும் பிரதிபலிக்க வேண்டும்.

 9. ஒன்பதாம் விதி ix.

நம்முடைய கடந்த காலத்தையே நினைத்து கொண்டு இருந்தால்

நிகழ்காலம் கடந்து சென்று விடும்.

THE MIND.

Do you know what is mind?

The Mind has thirteen channels. The constituents of the mind are Chittam, Will and Intellect. 

Intellect analyses, Chittam stores and Will activates the organs of action. 

Mind is nothing but a flow of thoughts through its channels. It is like a mirror, it receives, it sends, nothing more!

1881. Fame, success and money look great when we do not have them. But they do not contribute to real happiness in our life.

1882. We used to extend monthly one day  leave, yearly one month pay as bonus and special allowance on special occasions for our maid.

1883. “Lying” means to make an untrue statement with intent to deceive. “Lying” also means resting flat on the floor or bed.

1884. Addiction need not be only for bad habits. Eating too much, buying too many clothes and seeing too many cinemas are also addictions.

Random thoughts 1866 to 1880.

1866. When we attend weddings in rich families, we give costly gifts whereas in the case of poor families we give ordinary gifts. Is it fair?

1867. Cleanliness is different from orderliness. When the former is important, the latter is optional.

1868. Previously men were independent and women were dependent. Now the women are independent and men are dependent. Is it cyclical?

1869. Previously, the husband gave his salary to his wife to run the family. Now, the wife gives her salary to her husband to run the family.

1870. When we plan, we have the tension to do it on time. When we don’t plan, we have the freedom to do it any time at our will. Which is better?

1871. When I was born in 1945, ten grams of gold was Rs.62. Now in 2023, ten grams of gold is Rs.62,335. It is 1000 times increase.

1872. To “call a spade a spade” means to speak clearly and directly about people or things, even embarrassing or unpleasant things.

1873. In my opinion, negative characters in the movie will not create positive thoughts but only justify people with negative minds.

1851. Always listen to your heart. It may be on your left side. But it will always tell you the right thing.

1852. In this world, we can search for anything except love and death. They will find us on their own when the time comes.

1853. No point in just counting the days. The impression that we make on our near and dear is important. They should remember, adore and love us.

1854. If we have 102% confidence on our children and vice versa, and if we are sure that they will take care of us at old age, we don’t need anything.

1855. FUN is a golden word. If we take everything as FUN in our dealings with the present generation, our life will be full of FUN without any RUN.

1856. Some old people do not know how to live their life with the present generation with dignity. It is an art. It is not taught anywhere.

1857. A family consists of father, mother, son, daughter, SIL, and DIL. All others are extended family. We should keep others at a safe distance.

TEETH vs DENTURES.

Many people are not aware of the problems that senior citizens face without having natural teeth. They have to use dentures which are quite different from natural teeth.

 1. Teeth are god created but dentures are man created. 

 2. Teeth are natural but dentures are artificial. 

 3. Teeth may decay but dentures will not decay. 

 4. Teeth need daily brushing but dentures don’t need brushing. A tablet is used for cleaning.

 5. Teeth are permanently fixed but dentures are removable. 

 6. Teeth are medium sharp but dentures are very sharp. 

 7. Teeth can grind on one side but dentures should be used on both sides.  

8. Teeth may or may not look beautiful but dentures look beautiful. 

 9. Teeth have no value but dentures are very costly. 

 10. While sleeping teeth are not removed but dentures should be removed and placed in water.

Blessed are those senior citizens who have their natural teeth in good condition even at their old age.

1836. The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

1837. The best way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.

1838. Our time is limited, so we should not waste our time living for someone else.
