THE MEETING.
An unemployed engineering graduate was looking for a job.
He attended several tests and interviews, but only to be rejected.
He was fed up and decided to get into any job to meet his food and daily needs.
He visited a circus company and asked for a job.
The owner said there was no vacancy for his qualifications.
He further said that there is a vacancy to act as a monkey and play baffoon role.
He accepted the offer since it would at least meet his daily food.
So he dressed up as a monkey and started entertaining the audience.
One day, while he was performing, he accidentally fell into the lion's ring.
Everyone was shocked. No one knew that it was a man dressed up like a monkey.
He was dreadful and feared for his life. He prayed as he was going to be killed.
The lion came closer to him and said, "Hi Ram.... don't be afraid...!! I am Krishna 2016 batch...IIT .."

A MAN WITH DEPRESSION.
A DEPRESSED MAN:
A 50 year old man was suffering from depression and he went to a counsellor.
He told him that he is in severe depression and requested him for a remedy. The counsellor asked some personal details.
The man said he was too much worried. Job pressure, children's education, home loan, car loan etc.
He said he was very depressed.
Then the learned counselor asked him In which school did he study his 10th standard?
The man told him the name of the school.
The counselor said:- "You go to your school, find out from your 'Class X' registrar, the names of your classmates and try to get information about their current position, write down all the information in a diary and meet me after a month.”
The gentleman went to his school, got the register, and noted 40 names. He tried day and night for one month, but was able to collect information only about 30 classmates.
He found:
6 of them were dead...
8 had lost their spouses or divorced.
10 were addicted to alcohol/drugs.
4 were very poor.
Only two turned out to be rich.
Some were cancerous, some were paralyzed, diabetic, asthmatic or heart patients..
A couple of people were bedridden with injuries.
The children of some turned out to be autistic or vagabonds or useless.
One was in jail.
One person after two divorces was looking for a third marriage...
When he showed the register to the counsellor, he said he asked:- "Now tell me how is your depression?"
The man realized that his problems were nothing when compared to others and that there is a lot of sorrow in the world, and that he was blessed. Finally peace dawned on his mind.

Random thoughts 1581 to 1595.
1581. HE draws up water from the earth to form clouds and distill it to pour down into rain to create rivers, streams and lakes to benefit the humankind.
1582. Fragrance, total fat matter (TFM-60%), Ph (potential of hydrogen level-5.5), price and weight decide the quality of a bath soap.
1583. In MP, a woman leaves her husband with daughter after an argument when he used two tomatoes while cooking without asking her-News.
1584. Old age and fear of death makes a person to have sudden change of heart quite different from his usual self.
1585. Macaques are similar to monkeys. A study has found that bisexual behaviour is very common among the male macaques.
1586. A bisexual flower has both stamens and carpels present in the same flower. Eg of bisexual flowers are rose, sunflower, hibiscus, lily, and mustard.
1587. Talking intelligent matters with an illiterate and discussing worthless matters with an intelligent should be avoided as it is a waste of time.
1588. By the time we realise that our father was right we will have a son who thinks that we are wrong.
1589. When a person helps another wholeheartedly who is happier? The person who helps should be happier than the receiver. So help others.
1590. Happiness is a feeling when life is good and we smile. It is a sense of well-being, joy, contentment, success, safety, or lucky.
1591. Inflation is the rate of increase in prices over a given period of time. Inflation is overall increase in prices or the increase in the cost of living.
1592. Inflation is high in India due to factors such as supply chain disruptions, rising fuel prices, and increasing demand.

Random thoughts 1566 to 1580.
1566. When we have money we don’t have the time to spare. When we have the time to spare, we don’t have any money.
1567. We leave the footwear before we enter our house. Just like that, we should leave our problems also before we enter our house.
1568. Previously it was a custom to wash our hands and legs after we enter our home. I don’t know whether this practice is still practiced.
1569. Three fundamental principles among all living beings are efforts, risks and rewards. The ratio between them indicates success or failure.
1570. A study has found that honey bees can take better and faster decisions than humans as they have skills to balance efforts, risk and reward.
1571. About 73 crores 50 lakh people suffered chronic hunger in 2022-says UN. What a shame!!!
1572. When a man threatens you, you must hold his secrets up your sleeve than holding a weapon on your hand. Be careful.
1573. Inflation occurs when prices of goods and services rise, while deflation occurs when they decrease. Deflation is bad for economy.

Random thoughts 1551 to 1565.
1551. Knowledge and qualification are different. Without knowledge, qualification is of no value. Without qualification, knowledge is of no use.
1552. I used to feel proud that I am the most disciplined person on earth. Later on, I come to know that it is the root cause of all my unhappiness.
1553. Yesterday, a person called me and told bad things about another person known to me. I ignored every word and told him to mind his business.
1554. Fools talk nonsense to be in the limelight. If we do not ignore them, they will continue to talk nonsense and people will start believing them.
1555. Why iPhone is costly? Due to its features. One who has handled an iPhone will never go in for any other phone. It is so elegant and beautiful.
1556. My mother was cremated in an electric crematorium. Horrible. My heart simply stopped when she was sent in. I cried for two hours.
1557. When the government increases the price/rate, it is not for fun. There is a reason behind it. People should accept and adjust other wasteful expenses.

EATING WITH HAND.
Never eat with spoon. Always eat with your hand. The complete universe is made of five elements (pancha mahabhuthas).
The thumb represents fire (agni).
The forefinger represents air (vayu).
The middle finger represents space (akash).
The ring finger represents earth (prithvi).
The little finger represents water (jala).
Any imbalance in the above factors is responsible for the onset of diseases.
While eating we join all the fingers which itself becomes a mudra (shunya mudra) that balances all the tatwas.
Benefits:
1. Increases appetite.
2. Nerve endings in fingers boost digestion.
3. You avoid over eating.
4. Gives a feeling of fullness.
5. You can feel texture and temperature.
Hence start eating with fingers and not the spoon.

KARMA YOGA OR YOGA OF ACTION.
In chapter 3 of Baghawad Gita Lord Sri Krishna explains (in 43 slokas) to Arjuna that nobody can remain without action, even for a moment. Bound by their inherent modes of nature, all beings are always engaged in some work. Superior are those who practice karma yoga and continue to work diligently to fulfil their responsibilities externally, but internally they are unattached to them. However, the hypocrites display external renunciation but internally dwell upon the objects of their senses.
Shree Krishna says that all living beings are an integral part of God’s creation and have roles and responsibilities to fulfill. Vedas prescribe performing yajña to please the celestial gods, who in-return bestow material gains. These yajñas cause rains to fall, which aids in the production of food grains for the sustenance of life on earth.
Those who live only for the delight of their senses and do not accept their responsibility in this cycle— are sinful and living in vain. However, Shree Krishna says that when works or prescribed duties are performed as an obligation to God, they are also considered yajña (sacrifice).
He then explains that unlike the rest of humankind, the enlightened souls are not obliged to fulfill their bodily responsibilities. They are situated in knowledge of the self and execute higher responsibilities of the soul.
However, they do not abandon their social duties, as it may create disharmony in the minds of the common people who look up to them for inspiration.
Therefore, the wise continue to work without any personal motive only to set good examples for others to follow, else, the ignorant may abandon their prescribed duties prematurely.
Lord Krishna explains that lust alone is the sinful all-devouring enemy. Similar to a fire that is covered by smoke or a mirror covered in dust, desire shrouds one’s knowledge and deludes the intellect. By controlling the senses, mind, and intellect—one can slay this enemy called desire, which is an embodiment of sin.

Random thoughts 1536 to 1550.
1536. 10000 crores cells die each day in our body and are replaced by other cells. The mass of cells we lose each year is close to our body weight !!!
1537. Just think you have come to witness everything. Don’t get yourself involved. 70% detachment and 30% attachment will always do good.
1538. The only person who knows you thoroughly and completely is YOURSELF. Analyse yourself. Keep only the good and leave all the bad.
1539. Whatever happens around us is not our concern. It happens for a reason which we do not understand. Our ultimate goal is to merge with HIM.
1540. More the worries, more the involvement in spiritual activities. Lesser the worries, more the involvement in worldly activities.
1541. For one Tamil word arai, (அறை/அரை) there are four English words-room, slap, half , grind. (அறை for room and slap. அரை for half and grind.)
1542. A “Deist” is one who believes that God created the universe, but natural laws determine how the universe functions.

1891. பணம் அதிகமாக இல்லாவிட்டாலும், “போதும் என்ற மனமே பொன் செய்யும் மருந்து” என்ற மனது இருந்தால் அவன் பெரிய பணக்காரன் தான்.
1892. தனது அறிவுக்கு மீறிய, தகுதிக்கு மீறிய, விஷயங்களைப் பற்றி விவாதிப்பது, விளக்கம் கூறுவது ஒருவரது அறியாமையும், அகங்காரத்தையும் காட்டும்.
1893. எவ்வளவு முயற்சி செய்தாலும் நாய் வாலை நிமிர்த்த முடியாது. எவ்வளவு விளக்கிக் கூறினாலும் சிலர் மனதை மாற்ற முடியாது.
1894. ஜீரகத்தை வருத்து பொடி செய்து சாதத்துடன் கலந்து சாப்பிட்டால் ஜீரணம் ஆகும் என்று சொன்னார். எது ஜீரணம் ஆகும் என்று சொல்லவில்லை.

1900. பணம் அமைதியாக இருக்கும். வைத்திருப்பவன் ஆட்டம் போடுவான். பிணம் அமைதியாக இருக்கும். தூக்கிச் செல்பவன் ஆட்டம் போடுவான்.
1901. ஆமை போல மெதுவாக வருவது சம்பளம். முயல் போல வேகமாகப் போவது செலவு.
1902. இட்லிக்கான அரிசியை வெந்நீரில் ஊறவைத்து பிறகு அரைத்தால் இட்லி பஞ்சு போல மிருதுவாக இருக்கும்.
1903. வயதானால் முதுகில் தோல் சுருங்கி அரிப்பு வருவது இயற்கை. குளிக்கும் போது ஷவரில் குளிர்ந்த நீர் முதுகில் படும்படி சிறிது நேரம் நின்றால் அரிப்பு வராது.
1904. தினம் காலையில் என் மனதில் முதன் முதலில் தோன்றும் நல்ல எண்ணங்களை செய்வது என் வழக்கம். இன்று எனது முகநூலை மூடும்படி வந்தது. நல்லதா கெட்டதா?
1905. உடல் உபாதை ஏதேனும் வந்தால் இன்று வழக்கத்திற்கு மாறாக என்ன செய்தோம் என்று யோசித்து அதைச் செய்யாமல் இருந்தால் அந்த உபாதை திரும்ப வருவதைத் தவிர்கலாம்.

மனதில் தோன்றிய எண்ணங்கள் 1876 to 1890
1876. பொருளைத் தேடி அலைவதால் வாழ்க்கை தரம் உயர்வதில்லை. தரமான வாழ்வு என்பது அவரவர் பெற்றிருக்கும் மனநிறைவைப் பொறுத்த விஷயம்.
1877. மனம் தியானத்தில் நிலைத்து நிற்க வேண்டுமானால், இறைவனின் திருவடிகளை கெட்டியாகப் பிடித்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
1878. அது வேண்டும், இது வேண்டும் என்று ஏதாவதுஒன்றைத் தேடி அலையும் வரையில், எத்தனை பணம் இருந்தாலும் அவனை பரம ஏழை தான்.
1879. சுவரில் எறிந்த பந்து திரும்புவது போல, மனதில் நிறைவேறாத ஆசைகளே கோபமாகத் திரும்பி, நம்மைப் பாவச் செயல்களில் தள்ளிவிடுகிறது.
1880. பழைய பாவங்களுக்குப் பரிகாரம் தேடுவதை விட, புதிய பாவச்சுமை சேராமல் பார்த்துக்கொள்வது அவசியம். அதற்கு ஒரே வழி இறைவனின் திருவடியைச் சரணடைவது.
1881. நிலம், நீர், நெருப்பு, காற்று, ஆகாயம் என்கிற பஞ்ச பூதங்களை, கண், காது, மூக்கு, நாக்கு, தோல் ஆகிய ஐம்புலன்களால் உணரப்படுவதே பக்தி ஆகும்.
1882. மனிதன் பழக்கத்திற்கு அடிமை. பூ விற்பவருக்கு மீன் வாடை தலைவலி தரும். மீன் விற்பவருக்கு பூவின் வாசம் வேதனை தரும். இது இயற்கை.
1883. வாழ்க்கை தத்துவம்: இளமைக்காலத்தில் முன்னேற துணிவு வேணும். முதுமைக்காலத்தில் காப்பாற்ற வாரிசு வேணும்.
1884. மழை பெய்யும் வரை தான் ஒரு குடையின் உபயோகம். மழை நின்றுவிட்டால் அந்தக்குடையே ஒரு சுமைதான். புரிந்தால் சரி.
1885. வானவில்லை ரசிக்க வேண்டும் என்றால் மழையைப் பொறுத்துக் கொள்ளத்தான் வேண்டும். ஒரு சுகத்தை அடைய ஒரு கஷ்டத்தை அனுபவிக்கத்தான் வேண்டும்.
1886. சனாதன தர்மம் என்பது நித்திய தர்மம், ஒழுங்கு,கடமைகள், நடைமுறைகள் என்று பொருள். இந்துக்களால் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் பெயராகும்.
1887. அவமானம் என்று தனிப்பட எதுவும் கிடையாது. வாழ்க்கை கற்றுத்தரும் கசப்பான பாடத்தைத்தான் நாம் அவமானம் என்று கூறுகிறோம்.
1888. எதிலும் (கடமையைத் தவிர) தனக்கும் அதற்கும் துளியும் சம்பந்தம் இல்லை என்ற மனப்பான்மையை வளர்த்துக்கொள்வது கடினம். ஆனால் நிம்மதி கிடைக்கும்.
1889. ஆத்து நிறைய தண்ணி போனாலும் நாய் நக்கித்தான் குடிக்கும். பணம் இருந்தாலும் கஞ்சத்தனம் போகாது. குணம் செத்தால் போகும். ரூபம் சுட்டால் போகும்.
1890. வருத்தங்களை தனக்குள் வைத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். பிறரிடம் சொல்லக் கூடாது. சந்தோஷங்களை தனக்குள் வைத்துக் கொள்ளக்கூடாது. பிறரிடம் சொல்ல வேண்டும்.
