IS IT DEVELOPMENT?
Someone gave a fair review of a Tamil film in which an upcoming hero had acted well. To spend the Sunday afternoon, I thought of seeing the movie with my son. Due to my hearing problems, it was long since I saw a movie. However, I decided to manage using Bluetooth, which my son had got for me. Even then, it was not quite audible.
The film started on a good note. A small house in a village situated between mountains was the opening scene. In the beginning, on an open terrace, the hero woke up late from bed in the morning and a little girl served him tea. In the next scene, he was shown talking with a comedian in a liquor shop both drinking liquor.
The statutory warning was shown at the bottom of the movie. I switched off the TV and went to attend other work. When I was young, the hero in a movie used to drink alcohol only for any great loss. Now people start the day with alcohol. I don't know whether the hen came first or the egg. No doubt India is developing fast.

முன்னுக்கு வந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் அந்த இளைய தலைமுறை நடிகர் நடித்த அந்தத் திரைப்படத்தைப் பற்றிய விமரிசனங்கள் நன்றாக இருந்தன. நான் இருக்கும் இடத்தில் அது திரையிடப் படவில்லை.
ஒரு மாலைப் பொழுது போக்க, நான் அந்தத் திரைப்படத்தைப் பார்க்க நினைத்தேன். நான் தமிழ் படம் பார்த்து நிறைய நாட்கள் ஆகிறது. எனக்கு காது கேட்காததால் காதில் சொருகிக் கொள்ளும் ப்ளக் உபயோகித்தேன்..
அப்பொழுதும் சரியாக கேட்கவில்லை. திரைப் படத்தின் ஆரம்பம் நன்றாக இருந்தது. ஒரு மலைப் பிரதேசத்தில், பசுமையான வயல்கள் நடுவே, ஒரு சிறிய கிராமம்.
ஆரம்பக் காட்சியில் கதா நாயகன் ஒரு வீட்டு மொட்டை மாடியில், காலையில் தாமதமாக எழுந்து, டீ குடித்துவிட்டு, ஒரு சிறுமியோடு சிறிது விளையாடி விட்டு வெளியே செல்கிறான்.
அடுத்த காட்சியில் ஒரு நகைச்சுவை நடிகர் உடன் ஒரு சாராயக் கடையில் இருவரும் அமர்ந்து மது அருந்துகிறார்கள். சட்ட எச்சரிக்கை, திரையின் அடிப் பகுதியில் காட்டப் பட்டது.
கனணியை அணைத்து விட்டு வேறு வேலை பார்க்கச் சென்று விட்டேன். நான் இளைஞனாக இருந்த போது திரைப் படங்களில் கதா நாயகன் காதல் தோல்வியோ அல்லது பெரிய நஷ்டமோ வந்தால் தான் குடிப்பது போல் காட்டுவார்கள்.
இப்பொழுது தினசரி வாழ்க்கையை ஆரம்பிப்பதே குடியில் தான். முட்டை முதலிலா அல்லது கோழி முதலிலா?. இந்தியா நிச்சயம் முன்னேறுகிறது.
