HOW IS IT FAIR?.
I always advocated that one should do his duty before claiming his rights. The entire human race in the country will make a hue and cry even for the slightest lapse on the part of the Govt. Everyone knows pretty well that our Govt is for the people by the people.
The accounting year is 1st April to 31st March of next year. The dues to the Govt is to be paid in April and September. It also earns interest on the money collected. Then only, the Govt can take up developmental activities. If taxes are not paid in time only the poor will suffer.
We do not pay our dues on time. We should have voluntarily paid our house tax and water tax by April. People will say that they can pay anytime during the year. It is not so. No one will raise this issue on social media. People avoid their duty but claim their right. How is it fair?

உரிமையைக் கேட்பதற்கு முன், தன்னுடைய கடமையை செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று நான் கூறுவது உண்டு. அரசாங்கம் ஒரு சிறிய தவறு செய்தால் கூட அனைத்து மக்களும் பலவித எதிர்ப்புகள் தெரிவித்து தினசரி வாழ்க்கையை பாதிக்குமாறு செய்து விடுவார்கள். இது மக்களுக்காக, மக்களால் ஏற்படுத்தப் பட்ட அரசு என்று எல்லோருக்கும் தெரியும்.
அரசாங்கத்திர்க்கும், பொது மக்களுக்கும் வருடக் கணக்கு ஏப்ரல் 1 இல் இருந்து அடுத்த வருடம் மார்ச் 31 வரை. அரசுக்கு செலுத்தும் வரிகள் ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் ஏப்ரலில் மாதத்தில் கட்டப் பட வேண்டும். அதை வைத்து தான் அரசு முன்னேற்ற வேலைகளை செய்ய முடியும். கட்டிய பணத்திற்கு வட்டியும் கிடைக்கும். இல்லாவிடில் அது அரசுக்கு நஷ்டம். வரிகள் செலுத்த வில்லை என்றால் ஏழைகள் தான் பாதிக்கப் படுவார்கள்.
நாம் வரிகளை சரியான நேரத்தில் கட்டுவதில்லை. வீட்டு வரியையும், குடி நீர் வரியையும் கேட்காமலேயே நாம் முன் வந்து கட்ட வேண்டும். எப்பொழுது வேண்டுமானாலும் கட்டலாம் என்று சிலர் கூறுவார்கள். அது தவறு. இதைப் பற்றி யாரும் பத்திரிகையில் எழுத மாட்டார்கள். கடமையைச் செய்யாமல் உரிமையைக் கேட்கலாமா? இது என்ன நியாயம்?
