WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
During the last 40 years, the parents have educated the girl children for their intellectual growth. They also studied well and succeeded in life like the menfolk.
A lady Psychologist in Chennai, sometime back interviewed about 3000 employed girls and published an article in The Hindu newspaper. The gist of the article is as under.
1. Their starting salary is much more than that of their father after putting in 30 years of service.
2. Therefore their mother gave more importance to the girls than their father.
3. As a result, many girls became assertive in the family.
4. Then they became authoritative in the family.
5. Then slowly they became aggressive in the family.
Education must serve only for intellectual growth and not become arrogant. The doctor concluded by saying that the situation has completely changed.
Until a few decades back the women were protected in the house. Since they are now going for employment, the men lead a luxurious life at the expense of their hard work. Many women are not even aware of this.

கடந்த நாற்பது வருடங்களாக பெண்களை அவர்கள் பெற்றோர்கள் கல்வி பயில வைத்து வாழ்க்கையில் முன்னேற வைத்துள்ளனர். அவர்களும் நன்றாகப் படித்து, வெற்றி பெற்று இப்போது ஆண்களுக்கு சமமாக சமுதாயத்தில் நல்ல நிலையில் இருக்கின்றனர்.
சென்னையில் ஒரு பெண் மனோ தத்துவ டாக்டர் சில ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் சுமார் மூவாயிரம் பெண்களை பேட்டி கண்டு ஹிந்து பத்திரிகையில் எழுதிய கட்டுரையில் நான் படித்து அறிந்த விவரங்கள் பின்வருமாறு.
1. அவர்களுடைய ஆரம்ப மாத ஆரம்ப சம்பளம், முப்பது வருட அனுபவத்திற்குப் பிறகு அவர்கள் தந்தை வாங்கும் சம்பளத்தை விட பல மடங்கு அதிகம்.
2. அதனால் அவர்களுடைய தாய், மகளுக்கு அவள் தந்தைக்கு மேலாக குடும்பத்தில் முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்க ஆரம்பித்தனர்.
3. அதனால் பல பெண்கள் குடும்பத்தில் தங்களை நிலைநிறுத்த [ASSERTIVE] ஆரம்பித்தனர்.

5. கடைசியில் பல பெண்கள் தீவிர மனப்பான்மை அடைய [AGGRESSIVE] ஆரம்பித்தனர்.
கல்வி ஒருவரது அறிவு வளர்ச்சிக்காகவும், அஹங்காரம் கொள்ளாமல் இருக்கவும் பயன் பட வேண்டும். ஆனால் நிலமை மிகவும் மாறிவிட்டது என்று எழுதி இருந்தார்.
