I was not called for dinner today. I do not know why. When I inquired with my DIL I came to know that my wife is angry with me since I have not consulted her while posting the Music is divine. As I do not wish to earn her wrath, I am now posting the songs she likes the most. I think her selections are far better than mine.

I have posted seven sets of ten songs each in various categories. I am a great fan of Sri. Md. Rafi. I just love his voice. No one can sing like him. The range he reaches in every song is unimaginable. I will be failing if I do not post his songs. Here are ten plus two.

I got an accusing finger for ignoring the great Kishore Kumar. Though I like Md. Rafi, Kishore was no ordinary singer but a genius. He took different avatars. While Rafi's voice is melodious, Kishore's is intoxicating. Rafi's is sweet, Kishore's is rough. It is difficult to compare both. Mostly the old like Rafi and the young Kishore. While Rafi was used more by the father SDBurman, Kishore was used by son RDBurman.
