1. The first wave of corona came to an end by Feb 21. While going for morning and evening walks, I continued to wear a face mask and followed social distancing to protect myself. But I saw all the people on the road not wearing masks and the shops and restaurants were crowded.
2. People became complacent and did not think about the second wave.
3. They were superstitious and did not believe in the severity of the virus.
4. They believed madly that nothing would happen to them and did not take precautions.
5. In addition, hundreds of messages appeared on WhatsApp suggesting various medicines.
6. Either they were afraid of the vaccine or they did not believe it.
7. When the vaccination opened, people were reluctant and there were no takers for some time.
8. Most of the people did not have access to the Internet and they could not book for vaccination online.
8. India is 4 times more populous and 3 times lesser in area than the USA.
9. Total deaths in the US is more than 5,25,000 as against 2,26,000 in India.
10. Even now it is not too late, to STRICTLY follow the rules ie wearing masks, keeping social distance, and getting vaccinated.
MAY GOD BLESS THIS COUNTRY AND ITS PEOPLE TO BE SAFE AND SECURE FROM THIS DEADLY VIRUS.
