CURD AND BUTTERMILK.

Is it okay to take curd and buttermilk with cold and sinuses.

While some find curd and buttermilk beneficial, it's generally recommended to avoid or limit their consumption during cold and sinus issues as they can potentially worsen congestion and mucus production.

Here's a more detailed explanation:

Why they might be problematic:
Dairy products, including curd and buttermilk, can sometimes contribute to thicker mucus, which can exacerbate sinus congestion and make it harder to breathe.

Alternative foods:
If you're experiencing cold or sinus issues, consider incorporating foods like warm chicken soup, herbal teas with ginger and black pepper, and anti-inflammatory foods.

Individual tolerance:
Some people may not experience any issues with dairy, while others find that it triggers or worsens their symptoms.

Other foods to avoid:
Besides dairy, it's also advisable to limit refined sugars, and glutenous foods as they can worsen inflammation and mucus production.

Ayurvedic perspective:
In Ayurveda, curd is considered "cooling" and may not be recommended during sinus or cold, as it can worsen congestion.

Buttermilk benefits:
Buttermilk, however, can be a good source of probiotics and electrolytes, and some find it helpful for digestion. However, it's best to consume it in moderation and avoid it if you experience increased mucus or congestion.
