BABY BORN IN AN AIRPLANE ?

Misconceptions related to a baby born in an airplane.

First myth : A child born on an airplane will get citizenship of the entire world.

Second myth : The child will get the citizenship of the country over which the plane is flying.

Third myth : The child will automatically be given the citizenship of the country to which the airline belongs.

Fourth myth : The airline in which the child is born allows the child to fly for free throughout its life.

Now, the truth is,

In 99% of cases, the child gets the citizenship of his/her parents' country.

This is not a written rule or law. Yes, some airlines may provide this facility to specific individuals. But there is no fixed rule that it will definitely be available.

Another truth is that not many babies are born in airplanes because women are not allowed to fly after 36 weeks of pregnancy.

Yes, if the woman is traveling before the 36th week and the delivery happens prematurely, then it is a different matter.

Therefore, do not think of giving birth on an airplane in the greed of free facilities. Because the staff is not trained at all to conduct a delivery. And if any complication arises during delivery, then anything untoward can happen.

There is no point in taking such a huge risk when it is not even certain whether the facilities will be provided or not and forget about citizenship.
