What makes Dhoni special?

When you look at the helmets of the Indian players, you might have noticed the image of the tricolour along with the logo of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

You might also have noticed that Dhoni did not keep the tricolour symbol on his helmet like other players. 

You might think that by not wearing the tricolour on his helmet like other Indian players he might seem like anti-national.

You know he has attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army , which is a shining example of Dhoni's patriotism.

Wicket-keepers wear the helmet only when facing the fast bowlers and not slow bowlers. They keep their helmets on the ground when facing slow bowlers.

Since Mahendra Singh Dhoni, apart from being a batsman, was also a wicketkeeper fielder, and sometimes he had to keep his helmet on the ground.

Dhoni may be off the view that keeping the helmet on the ground was an insult to our tricolour.

For this reason he did not consider it right to put the picture of the tricolour on his hamlet.

But we should appreciate Dhoni's patriotism expressed even in such a subtle way.

என்பதற்கு ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணர் கூறிய பதில்

உத்தவ கீதையில் கிருஷ்ணர் பாண்டவர்களுக்கு கலியுகம் எப்படி இருக்கும் என்று மிக அழகாக தெரிவிக்கிறார்.

உத்தவர் கிருஷ்ணரிடம் கலியுகம் பற்றிய கேள்வியை எழுப்பினார்.

அப்போது கிருஷ்ணர் ”உத்தவா, இதே கேள்வியை பாண்டவர்களில் நால்வர் எம்மிடம் கேட்டனர்.

அவர்களுக்கு யான் சொன்ன பதிலை உனக்கும் சொல்கிறேன், அதை நீ கவனமாக கேட்பாயாக” என்று பதிலை கூறலானார்.

பகவான் ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணர் தந்த பதில் பின்வருமாறு (உத்தவ கீதையிலிருந்து எடுக்கப்பட்டது).

ஒருமுறை பகவான் ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணரிடம் பாண்டவர்களில் நால்வரான பீமன், அர்ஜுனன், நகுலன், சகாதேவன் ஆகியோர் கலியுகம் எப்படி இருக்கும் என்று தங்கள் சந்தேகத்தை கேட்டனர்.

அதற்கு மாதவன், சொல்வதென்ன எப்படி இருக்கும் என்றே காண்பிக்கிறேன் என்று கூறி நான்கு அம்புகளை நான்கு திசைகளிலும் செலுத்தினார்.

அவற்றை கொண்டு வருமாறு நான்கு பாண்டவர்களிடமும் ஆணையிட்டார்.

கோவிந்தனின் ஆணைப்படியே நால்வரும் நான்கு திசைகளில் சென்றனர்.

முதலில் பீமன், அம்பை எடுத்த இடத்தில் ஒரு காட்சியைக் கண்டான்.

அங்கு ஐந்து கிணறுகள் இருந்தன. மத்தியில் ஒரு கிணறு, அதைச் சுற்றி நான்கு கிணறுகள். சுற்றியுள்ள நான்கு கிணறுகளில் சுவைமிகுந்த தண்ணீர் நிரம்பி வழிந்துகொண்டே இருந்தது. 

ஆனால் நடுவில் உள்ள கிணற்றில் மட்டும் நீர் வற்றி இருந்தது. இதனால் பீமன் சற்று குழம்பி, அதை யோசித்தபடியே அந்த இடத்தை விட்டு கிருஷ்ணரை நோக்கி நடந்தான்.

அர்ஜுனன், அம்பை மீட்ட இடத்தில் ஒரு குயிலின் அற்புதமான பாடலை கேட்டான். 

பாடல் கேட்ட திசையில் திரும்பி பார்த்த அர்ஜுனன் ஒரு கோரமான காட்சியை கண்டான். 

அங்கு அந்த குயில் ஒரு வெண்முயலை கொத்தி தின்றுகொண்டிருந்தது. அந்த முயலோ வலியால் துடித்து கொண்டிருந்தது.

மெல்லிசை கொண்டு மனதை மயக்கும் குயிலுக்கு இவ்வளவு கொடிய மனம் உள்ளதை எண்ணி குழப்பத்தோடு அங்கிருந்து நகர்ந்தான்.

சகாதேவன், கிருஷ்ணரின் அம்பை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு திரும்பி வரும் வழியில் ஒரு காட்சியை கண்டான்.

பசு ஒன்று அழகிய கன்றுக்குட்டியை ஈன்றெடுத்தது. 

ஈன்ற கன்றை தன் நாவால் வருடி சுத்தம் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தது.

கன்று முழுமையாக சுத்தம் ஆகியும் தாய் பசு வருடுவதை நிறுத்தவில்லை.

சுற்றியிருந்த பலர் கன்றை பசுவிடம் இருந்து மிகவும் சிரமப்பட்டு பிரித்தனர்.

அந்த கன்றுக்கு பலத்த காயங்கள் உண்டானது.

தாய் எப்படி பிள்ளையை காயப்படுத்த முடியும்?என்ற குழப்பத்தோடு அவனும் கிருஷ்ணரை நோக்கி நடந்தான்.

நகுலன், கண்ணனின் அம்பு ஒரு பெரிய மலையின் அருகில் இருப்பதைக் கண்டு எடுத்துக்கொண்டு திரும்பினான்.

மலைமேல் இருந்து, பெரிய பாறை ஒன்று கீழே உருண்டு வந்தது.

வழியில் இருக்கும் அனைத்து மரங்களையும், தடைகளையும் இடித்து தள்ளி, வேகமாய் உருண்டு வந்தது.

வேகமாக வந்த அந்த பாறை, ஒரு சிறிய செடியில் மோதி அப்படியே நின்றுவிட்டது.

ஆச்சரியத்தோடு அதை கண்ட சகாதேவன், தெளிவு பெற பகவானை நோக்கி புறப்பட்டான்,

இவ்வாறு நான்கு பாண்டவர்களும், ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணரிடம் வந்து சேர்ந்தனர்.

அவரவர் தாங்கள் கண்ட காட்சியையும், மனதில் உள்ள குழப்பத்தையும், ஞானக்கடலான கிருஷ்ணரிடம் கேட்டனர்.

கிருஷ்ணரோ வழக்கமான தன் மெல்லிய சிரிப்புடன் விளக்கினார்.

”அர்ஜுனா, கலியுகத்தில் போலி மதகுருக்கள், ஆசாரியர்கள் போன்றவர்கள் இனிமையாக பேசும் இயல்பும் அகன்ற அறிவும் கொண்டவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள். இருப்பினும் இவர்கள் மக்களை ஏமாற்றி பிழைக்கும் கள்வர்களாகவே இருப்பார்கள்.” –குயிலை போல.

”பீமா, கலியுகத்தில் செல்வந்தர்களிடையே ஏழைகளும் வாழ்வார்கள். செல்வந்தர்களோ மிகவும் செழிப்பாக வாழ்வார்கள். தம்மிடம் செல்வம் வழிந்தாலும், அதில் ஒரு சிறு பகுதியை கூட ஏழைகளுக்கு கொடுத்து உதவ மாட்டார்கள். தங்களிடம் மேலும் மேலும் செல்வம் சேரவேண்டும் என்று நினைத்து பல தவறான வழியில் செல்வதை ஈட்டி சேமித்து வைப்பார்கள். ஒரு பக்கம் செல்வந்தர்கள் நாளுக்கு நாள் செல்வதர்கள் ஆக, மற்றொரு பக்கம் ஏழைகள் ஏழைகளாகவே வருந்துவார்கள்.” – வற்றிய கிணற்றுக்கு அருகாமையில் உள்ள நிரம்பி வழியும் கிணறுகளை போல்.

நகுலா, “கலியுகத்தில் பெற்றோர்கள் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளின் மீது மிகுந்த கண்மூடித்தனமான பாசத்தோடு இருப்பார்கள். பிள்ளைகளின் மீது உள்ள அளவற்ற பாசத்தால் அவர்கள் தவறு செய்தாலும் அதை பொருட்படுத்தாமல், பிள்ளைகளின் நெறி தவறிய வாழ்விற்கு தாங்களே காரணமாவார்கள். இதனால் பிள்ளைகளின் எதிர்கால வாழ்க்கை துன்பப்பிடியில் சிக்கிக் கொள்ளும் என்பதை மறப்பார்கள். பிள்ளைகளும் தீயவினைகளால் துன்பம் அனுபவிப்பார்கள். பிள்ளைகளின் அழிவிற்கு பெற்றோர்களே காரணமாவர்கள்.” -பசுவை போல்.

”நகுலா, கலியுகத்தில் மக்கள் சான்றோர்களுடைய நற்சொற்களைப் பேணாமல், நாளுக்கு நாள் ஒழுக்கத்தினின்றும் நற்குணத்தினின்றும் நீங்குவார்கள். யார் நன்மைகளை எடுத்து கூறினாலும் அதை அவர்கள் பொருட்படுத்தமாட்டர்கள். எந்தவொரு கட்டுப்பாடும் இன்றி செயல்படுவார்கள். இத்தகையவர்களை இறைவனால் மட்டுமே தடுத்துநிறுத்தி, நிதானப்படுத்தி அறிவுடன் செயல்படுத்த முடியும்.” பாறையை தடுத்த சிறுசெடியை போல் என்று கூறி முடித்தார்.

DEDICATION !!!

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar once revealed that due to an upset stomach he had to once play with tissues inside his underwear!

The incident happened during the Super Sixes phase of the 2003 ICC World Cup when India were taking on Sri Lanka March 10 at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

"Here I am a bit embarrassed to reveal a very personal secret relating to the Sri Lanka match. On the eve of the match I had a bad stomach and was feeling dehydrated. 

This happened because I had not yet fully recovered from the cramp I had suffered while playing Pakistan and as a result had a lot of isotonic drinks," Tendulkar writes in his autobiography 'Playing It My Way'.

Just nine days previously, Tendulkar had played a match-winning knock of 98 against Pakistan for which he was named man of the match at Centurion.

"I also added a teaspoon of salt to the energy drinks, thinking it would help the recovery, and that caused a tummy upset. In fact, the situation was so bad that I had to bat with tissues inside my underwear. 

🩲 I even had to go back to the dressing room during one of the drinks breaks and was feeling extremely uncomfortable in the middle."

Despite the tissues, Tendulkar went on to score a patient 97 off 120 balls, the highest score of the match, which helped India win the contest by a massive 183 runs.

"I somehow scored 97, but batting with stomach cramps wasn't a pleasant experience. I was pushing myself to the limits of endurance and in the end I was glad that the effort paid off”added Sachin Tendulkar in his autobiography.

You are just amazing Sir !!! NO words can describe his dedication and determination level to cricket.

LIGHT AND DARKNESS.

Once, Lord Krishna was standing before the mirror decorating himself. He was trying different crowns on his head and putting on some fine jewellery while his charioteer waited outside with the chariot ready.

His charioteer waited and waited for long. He thought to herself– “usually the Lord comes immediately, but today why still he has not come”. 

So, out of curiosity he went inside to find out whether the program was still on or it had changed.

After going inside, he saw Lord Krishna standing in front of the mirror admiring himself.

He politely asked, “My dear Lord, tell me, why are you dressing up so much today. Where are we going?”

Lord Krishna said, “I am going to meet Duryodhana.”

The charioteer asked , “ Are you dressing up so much to meet Duryodhana?”

Lord Krishna then said, “Duryodhana cannot see my inside, he can only appreciate my outside. So I am dressed up to impress upon him.”

Then the charioteer said, “Why are you going to see Duryodhana? You should not go, he should come and see you. I cannot accept this.”

He continued to say, “This is not fair. Look at your status and his status ! You are the Lord of the world. You should not go, let him come.”

Many times, the drivers and assistants give appropriate advise at the appropriate time.

Krishna turned back, looked at him, smiled and said, “DARKNESS DOES NOT COME TO LIGHT BUT LIGHT HAS TO GO TO DARKNESS”.

The charioteer had no answer.

கொஞ்சம் சிரிங்க.. தப்பில்லை!

எனக்கு கொஞ்ச நாளா வலது கண் மங்கலா தெரிய ஆரம்பிச்சுது. அப்பா கிட்ட கேட்டேன். " டாக்டரை போய் பாரு!" என்றார். 

"போய் பார்த்தேன் அப்பா! அவரும் மங்கலாத்தான் தெரியராரு!"--

"நீ உருப்படமாட்டே!"....

மறு நாள் டாக்டரிடம் போவதற்காக பஸ் ஏறினேன். 

"கண்டக்டர்! இந்த பஸ் எவ்வளவு தூரம் போகும்? "---

"டீசல் இருக்கற வர ஓடும்! ஆமாம், நீ எங்கே இறங்கணும்? "---

"படிக்கட்டு வழியாதான்!"

ஒரு வழியா டாக்டர் வீடு வந்து சேர்ந்தேன். அறையினுள் நுழைந்தேன். 

"டாக்டர்! கொஞ்ச நாளா என் வலது கண் மங்கலா தெரியறது!" --- 

"sorry! நான் வக்கீல்! பக்கத்து ரூம் போங்கோ! அங்கேதான் டாக்டர் இருக்கார்!" 

பக்கத்து ரூம் போனேன். கதவை தட்டினேன். கதவை திறந்த டாக்டர் 

"என்ன, எல்லாரும் இப்படி கும்பலா நின்னா எப்படி? எல்லோரும் Q வரிசையில் வாங்கோ!"---

திரும்பி பார்த்தேன். நான் ஒருத்தன் தான் நின்னுண்டு இருக்கேன்!

"டாக்டர்!சரியா பாருங்கோ! நான் ஒருத்தன் தான் நின்னுண்டு இருக்கேன்!"--

டாக்டர்! கண்ணாடியை கழற்றி பார்த்தார். " ஆமாம், சர்தான்! நீ உள்ளே வா!" 

உள்ளே போனேன். "அந்த chair லே உக்காரு!" உட்கார்ந்தேன். 

"எழுந்துரு! அது என் chair!"---" என்ன கம்பளைண்ட்? "---- 

"ஸார்! கொஞ்ச நாளா வலது கண் மங்கலா தெரியறது!"---

" சரி, இந்த எழுத்தை படி!"---

"எழுத்து எங்கே ஸார் இருக்கு? "--

"அந்த போர்டு லே இருக்கு!"--

"Board எங்கே ஸார் இருக்கு? "---

"அதோ அந்த சுவத்துல!"---

" சுவர் எங்கே இருக்கு ஸார்"---

ஒரு வழியா ஆபரேஷன் முடிந்தது. டாக்டர் ஒரு அசட்டு சிரிப்போடு 

"சாரி!ஒரு தப்பு நடந்து போச்சு!வலது கண்ணுக்கு பதிலா இடது கண்ணை ஆபரேஷன் பண்ணிட்டேன்!"--

"ஸார்! உங்கள பத்தி நன்னா தெரிஞ்சுண்டுதான் நான் மாத்தி சொன்னேன். எனக்கு நிஜமா இடது கண் தான் trouble!" -----

வீட்டிற்கு வந்தேன். "ஜானகி! நான் ஆபரேஷன் பண்ணிண்டாச்சு. கண்ணு இப்போ நன்னா தெரியறது!"----

" நான் உங்க ஜானகி இல்லை! உங்க வீடு அடுத்த தெருல இருக்கு!"
