A MAN WITH DEPRESSION.

A DEPRESSED MAN:

A 50 year old man was suffering from depression and he went to a counsellor.

He told him that he is in severe depression and requested him for a remedy. The counsellor asked some personal details.

The man said he was too much worried. Job pressure, children's education, home loan, car loan etc.

He said he was very depressed.

Then the learned counselor asked him In which school did he study his 10th standard?

The man told him the name of the school.

The counselor said:- "You go to your school, find out from your 'Class X' registrar, the names of your classmates and try to get information about their current position, write down all the information in a diary and meet me after a month.”

The gentleman went to his school, got the register, and noted 40 names.  He tried day and night for one month, but was able to collect information only about 30 classmates.

He found:

6 of them were dead...

8 had lost their spouses or divorced.

10 were addicted to alcohol/drugs.

 4 were very poor.

 Only two turned out to be rich.

Some were cancerous, some were paralyzed, diabetic, asthmatic or heart patients..

A couple of people were bedridden with injuries.

The children of some turned out to be autistic or vagabonds or useless.

One was in jail. 

One  person after two divorces was looking for a third marriage...

 When he showed the register to the counsellor, he said he asked:- "Now tell me how is your depression?"

The man realized that his problems were nothing when compared to others and that there is a lot of sorrow in the world, and that he was blessed. Finally peace dawned on his mind.
